THE SEX LIVES OF VEGETABLES …AND OTHER DELICIOUS DISTRACTIONS

2013
VanDusen Botanical Garden Visitor Centre, Vancouver, BC
A nutritious—sometimes naughty—jaunt down the garden path investigating bees, weeds and the surprising sex lives of vegetables

Governor General Award-winning poet Lorna Crozier was inspired to write The Sex Lives of Vegetables when she cut into a yam.

This site-specific chamber music celebration of the garden’s glories features the poet herself reading those (in)famous poems, with Canadian composer Leslie Uyeda’s settings, and the world premiere of Canadian composer Leila Lustig’s Eve to Adam, in the beautiful new Visitor Centre at the VanDusen Botanical Garden.
